Chacon was a 55 ft (17 m) commercial vessel built in Tacoma Washington in 1918 for service in Southeast Alaska. Originally owned by the Sawyer and McKay Timber Company of Ketchikan Alaska, Chacon was later sold to Ed J. Williams and operated as a mail and passenger boat. On April 13, 1937, Chacon was lost at sea in a Gale in Cape Mudge. Her crew of six survived and were rescued at Campbell River.
