Gregory Paul Baxter (born 3 March 1876, died 10 Feb 1953) was a prominent US chemist notable for his work on atomic weights.Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, Baxter became an instructor in chemistry at Harvard in 1897. Dr Baxter served as chairman of the Harvard Chemistry Department from 1911 to 1932.
