Harry Herrmann (27 May 1909 – 12 March 1995) was a highly decorated Oberstleutnant (Lieutenant Colonel) in the Fallschirmjäger (Paratroopers) during World War II and in the Bundeswehr. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Harry Herrmann was captured by Soviet troops in May 1945 during the Battle of Berlin, he was held prisoner until 1955.
