An Irish Brazilian (Portuguese: Irlando-brasileiro or Hiberno-brasileiro; Irish: Gael-Brasaíle) is a Brazilian person of Irish ancestry, or an Irish-born person residing in Brazil. Many Irish immigrants to Brazil changed their surnames to resemble Portuguese names more closely, often losing the common prefix 'O' .
