Jonathan Winter (born 18 August 1971 in Masterton) is a member of the Ngai Tahu Maori tribe and a former backstroke swimmer from New Zealand, who competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, United States, for his native country. At the 1995 FINA World SC Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil he won the gold medal with the Men's 4 × 100 medley relay team.Winter also competed in three consecutive Commonwealth Games, starting in 1994.
