Mathew "Mat" Erpelding (born January 10, 1975 in Denver, Colorado) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Idaho House of Representatives from the north Boise-based District 19 in the A seat since December 1, 2012. Erpelding succeeded Cherie Buckner-Webb in 2012 after she ran a successful campaign for the Idaho Senate.A native of Denver, Colorado, Erpelding moved to Idaho in 1993 to attend Idaho State University in Pocatello, graduating in 1997 with a BA degree in psychology.
