Sabich or sabikh (Hebrew: סביח [saˈbiχ]) is an Israeli sandwich, consisting of pita stuffed with fried eggplant and hard boiled eggs. Local consumption is said to have stemmed from a tradition among Iraqi Jews, who ate it on Shabbat morning.
