The Siege of Adoni occurred between the forces of Tipu Sultan of the Kingdom of Mysore and the Maratha Empire allied with the Nizam of Hyderabad. On May 20th, Tipu Sultan had annihilated the peth of Adoni and had devastated and inflicted immense losses on Adoni's cavalry.
