Mobula japanica, commonly known as the spinetail mobula or devil ray, is a species of pelagic marine fish which belongs to the family Myliobatidae found throughout the tropical and sub-tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific and eastern Atlantic Ocean.The spinetail mobula is dark blue to black above and white below.
