Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is a novel set in 2009 and was written under the pseudonym David Michaels; although the previous two books were written by Grant Blackwood. Conviction was written by Peter Telep. The novel is an original story set in 2009/10 (a year and half before the Conviction game). It is not a novelization of the game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, but rather a semi-prequel (covering some of Sam's time on the run between Double Agent and Conviction).
