Videon Cablesystems was a Cable television service in Manitoba, Alberta, and for a short period northwest Ontario, Canada. The origins of Videon date back to October 1959 when original General Manager Claude Boucher applied to the Lakehead Public Utilities Board in Port Arthur, Ontario (now Thunder Bay) to provide cable television service to the town through the new company Lakehead Videon. The cable system was built and was sold to Maclean-Hunter in July 1970.
