WLPR-FM is a FM noncommercial, public radio station broadcasting on 89.1 MHz in Lowell, Indiana, east of the Chicago metropolitan area. Financed primarily by listener contributions, Lakeshore Public Radio is affiliated with National Public Radio. The station is owned and operated by Northwest Indiana Public Broadcasting, Inc. which also owns and operates WYIN a PBS affiliate. It was the primary station of the Gary SouthShore RailCats. The RailCats returned to WEFM.
