Åsskard is a village and a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village of Åsskard is located at the innermost part of the Åsskardfjorden in the western part of Surnadal Municipality, about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) northwest of the village of Sylte. The village is the site of Åsskard Church.The former municipality of Åsskard (historically spelled Aasgaard) included the area around the Åsskardfjorden, north of the Hamnesfjorden, and east of the Trongfjorden.
