The 16th Alpini Regiment (Italian: 16° Reggimento Alpini) was a short lived (1991-2004) light Infantry training regiment of the Italian Army, specializing in Mountain Combat. The Alpini are a mountain infantry corps of the Italian Army, that distinguished itself in combat during World War I and World War II.The regiment was based in the city of Belluno and consisted of the single Belluno battalion.
