3/24 (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈtɾɛz ˌβintiˈkwatɾə]) is a 24-hour news channel operated by Televisió de Catalunya (TVC) in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the five channel DVB-T multiplex of TVC. Currently, it broadcasts in digital terrestrial (DVB-T) and cable (DVB-C) television. Analogue broadcasting (PAL) was shut down on 3 April 2010.Although satellite (DVB-S) broadcasting was initially considered, it was discarded due to the high cost of uploading the channel stream into satellites.
