Abedi Ayew (/æˈbeɪdɪ/ /æˈjjuː/ a-BAYDI a-YOU) (born 5 November 1964), known professionally as Abedi Pele, is a retired Ghanaian footballer who served as captain of the Ghana national team. He is considered by many African football experts to be the greatest African footballer of all time.
