Active mobility (often called "Active Transportation" in the United States ) is an approach to travel and transport that focuses on physical activity (walking and cycling) as opposed to motorised and carbon-dependent means. In the United Kingdom, for example, over 50% of car journeys are under 5 km. Motor car journeys can therefore be easily replaced with more active forms of travel.
