State Route 70 is an eight-mile-long (13 km) state highway entitrely in southern Shelby County, Alabama. The eastern end of this highway is at its junction with State Route 25 in Columbiana. The western terminus of this highway is at its junction with U.S. Highway 31 just north of Calera. West of the western end of State Route 70, the road continues as Shelby County Road 22. The junction of U.S. Highway 31 with Interstate 65 at exit 231 is less than one mile (1.6 km) from the junction of U.S.
