Alan Bowlby Mollohan (born May 14, 1943) is an American politician who was the U.S. Representative for West Virginia's 1st congressional district from 1983 to 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party and a Conservative "Blue Dog." The district encompasses the northern part of the state; it is based in Wheeling and includes Parkersburg, Morgantown, Fairmont and Clarksburg.
