Allison Brooks Janney (born November 19, 1959) is an American actress. A seven-time Primetime Emmy Award winner for her television work, her first four Emmy wins were for her role as C.J. Cregg on the NBC drama The West Wing (1999–2006). In 2014, she won the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Margaret Scully on the Showtime series Masters of Sex.
