Ammasandra (sometimes referred to as Adityapatna) is a small township in Turuvekere taluk, Tumkur district in the state of Karnataka, India. Mysore Cements Ltd., a Heidelberg Cement group company, is the economic mainstay of the region. Mysore Cements Ltd., was until July 2006 a Birla group company run under the auspices of the S.K. Birla banner. Heidelberg Cement acquired a controlling stake in Mysore Cements Ltd., in August 2006.
