Ana María Olivera Pessano (born 17 December 1953 in Montevideo, Uruguay), is an Uruguayan professor and politician belonging to the Communist Party of Uruguay, which has been integrated with Frente Amplio. She has served as Deputy Minister of Social Development during the government of Tabaré Vázquez. In the municipal elections of 9 May 2010, she ran as the only candidate of Frente Amplio and was elected as the Intendant of Montevideo, a position which she has held since 8 July 2010.
