Andrew David Hamilton, FRS (born 3 November 1952) is a British chemist and academic. Since 2009, he has been the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford. Previously, he was Provost of Yale University from 2004 to 2008. In March 2015, it was announced that he will be the next President of New York University; he will officially take up his duties in January 2016.
