Arthur Gower 'Ginger' Thomas (1901 — 1970) was a Welsh professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s and '30s playing at representative level for Great Britain, England, and Yorkshire, and at club level for Leeds, and York, as a Prop, or Second-row, i.e. number 8 or 10, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums. Although born in Llanelli, Wales, Thomas moved to Hunslet as an infant, and subsequently played for Hunslet Intermediates, before going on to play for Yorkshire, and England.
