Asma Jilani Jahangir (Urdu: عاصمہ جہانگیر: ʿĀṣimah Jahāṉgīr) (born 27 January 1952 in Lahore) is a Pakistani lawyer.Asma Jahangir is a founding member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, and has served as Secretary-General and later Chairperson of the organization. On 27 October 2010, Jahangir was elected as President of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan and played a prominent role in the Lawyers' Movement., the first woman to hold the position.
