The Battle of Buggenhout (25–29 September 1914) was a battle fought at the beginning of the First World War at Buggenhout, between Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels in Belgium. It was a Belgian offensive German troops to the south and coordinated at Dendermonde. The Belgians planned to exploit German troops movements away from Antwerp and to assist the French army on the Marne.
