Beanblossom, also spelled Bean Blossom, is an unincorporated community in Jackson Township, Brown County, Indiana. The town was named for the nearby Beanblossom Creek, which was in turn named for a 19th-century settler whose surname was Beanblossom, who had once nearly drowned in its surging water. After almost dying, Beanblossom vowed revenge on the creek. He built a cabin nearby from which he could keep an eye on the creek in case it tried to drown him again.
