The Belarusian Independence Bloc one of Belarus’ three major opposition coalitions, was formed in 2009 as an alternative to UDF coalition in Belarus. The group intention is to choose a single candidate to defeat the incumbent Alexander Lukashenko, the authoritarian president since 1994.
