Beverly Johnson (born October 13, 1952) is an American model, actress, and businesswoman. She rose to fame when she became the second African-American model to appear on the cover of American Vogue in August 1974, the first was Donyale Luna, who appeared on the March 1966 cover. In 1975, she became the first black woman to appear on the cover of the French edition of Elle.
