Brasileosaurus (meaning "Brazil lizard") is a sparse collection of fossils that are nomen vanum-- that is, they will probably never be identified. They are believed to be the fossils of a non-dinosaurian archosaur. The type species is B. pachecoi, described by prolific German paleontologist Friedrich von Huene in 1931.Brasileosaurus is not to be confused with the mesosaur Brazilosaurus.
