Breakfast Television Centre was the headquarters of TV-am. In 1981, the commission for the building design was given to award-winning architect Sir Terry Farrell. The building was easily identifiable with large 'TVAM' letters coming out of the wall, and large sunrise archway over the entrance into the forecourt. In 1993, the building was sold to MTV Europe for an undisclosed amount. The building was renovated in 2012 and finished in 2013.
