Clement Clay "Bo" Torbert, Jr. (born August 31, 1929) is an American jurist and was the twenty-fifth Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court from 1977 through 1989.Torbert was born in Lee County, Alabama, the son of Clement Clay Torbert, Jr. and Lynda H. Meadows, and the grandson of Clement Clay Torbert, Sr. and Aylmerine Spearman Floyd.Torbert attended the United States Naval Academy and Auburn University, receiving a bachelor's degree from Auburn in 1951.
