The California Valley coyote (Canis latrans ochropus), also known as the San Joaquin Valley coyote, is a subspecies of coyote native to the lower Sonoran regions of San Joaquin Valley, California.It is similar to C. l. latrans and C. l. lestes, but is smaller, darker and has larger ears.
