Carla Schlatter Ellis is an American computer scientist and Emeritus Professor of Computer Science at Duke University. She is known for her work in energy management on mobile devices and also for her devotion to increasing the number of women in computer science. She is a founding member of Systers, an international email list of women computer scientist that was founded in 1987 by 13 women computer scientists who met at a Symposium on Operating Systems Principles (SOSP).
