The population was 426 at the 2010 census.The Guthrie County portion of Casey is part of the Des Moines–West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area. Ironically, the lone gas station in town is not a part of the Casey's General Store chain based in Iowa, but instead belongs to Casey's rival Kum and Go.
