Chen Liangyu (born 24 October 1946 in Shanghai) is a disgraced Chinese politician best known for his tenure as the Communist Party Secretary of Shanghai, the city's top office, from 2002 to his dismissal in 2006, and a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China.Chen worked in Shanghai for his entire public life, serving as Mayor from 2001–2003.
