The Chick Lang Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race held annually during the third week of May at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. Currently an Ungraded stakes race open to three-year-old horses, it is contested on dirt over a distance of six furlongs. Previously a Grade III race, it was downgraded by the American Graded Stakes Committee and lost its graded status in 2011.The race is named in honor of the former Pimlico General Manager who was known to Marylanders as "Mr.
