Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (Russian: Чуко́тский автоно́мный о́круг, tr. Chukotsky avtonomny okrug; IPA: [tɕʊˈkotskʲɪj ɐftɐˈnomnɨj ˈokrʊk]; Chukchi: Чукоткакэн автономныкэн округ, Chukotkaken avtonomnyken okrug) or Chukotka (Чуко́тка) is a federal subject of Russia (an autonomous okrug) located in the Russian Far East. Population: 50,526 (2010 Census).The autonomous okrug's surface area is 737,700 square kilometers (284,800 sq mi). The principal town and the administrative center is Anadyr.
