Colorado River Numic (also called Ute /ˈjuːt/, Southern Paiute /ˈpaɪjuːt/, Ute–Southern Paiute, or Ute-Chemehuevi /tʃɛmɨˈweɪvi/), of the Numic branch of the Uto-Aztecan language family, is a dialect chain that stretches from southeastern California to Colorado.
