Cookie butter is a food paste made primarily from spice cookies crumbs (called speculoos in Belgium), fat such as vegetable oil, condensed milk or butter, flour and sugar. The ingredients are mixed until it becomes spreadable like nut butter. The spread has gained a cult following in the United States in the last few years.It is often served during holidays.
