Costa Ricans (Spanish: Costarricenses), also called Ticos, are from a multiethnic Spanish speaking nation in Central America called Costa Rica. Costa Ricans are predominantly whites, castizos (halfway between white and mestizo) and mestizos, but their country is considered a multiethnic society, which means that it is home to people of many different ethnic backgrounds.
