Daniel Toroitich arap Moi /ˈmoʊiː/ MOH-ee (born 2 September 1924) is a former Kenyan politician who served as the second President of Kenya from 1978 to 2002. He removed Kikuyu ministers and replaced them with ministers from his own Kalenjin tribe. He was forced to allow multiparty elections in 1992.
