The Danish Realm (Danish: det danske rige) or the unity of the Realm (Danish: rigsfællesskabet; Faroese: ríkisfelagsskapurin; Greenlandic: naalagaaffeqatigiit) is an official term for the relations between Denmark proper and the two overseas constituent countries, the Faroe Islands and Greenland, which collectively make up the Kingdom of Denmark.The nature of the Kingdom of Denmark is fundamentally one of a unitary sovereign state.
