Danny E. Sandoval (born April 7, 1979 in Lara, Venezuela) is a former infielder in Major League Baseball. Sandoval is a switch-hitter and throws right-handed. He made his major league debut on July 17, 2005.After spending seven seasons in the minors with the White Sox and Rockies organizations, Sandoval signed with the Philadelphia Phillies after the 2004 season. He started 2005 at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons and got the call to replace Geoff Geary after the All-Star Game.
