Darren Van Oene (born January 18, 1978 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian professional ice hockey winger. He was drafted in the second round, 33rd overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. He has never played in the National Hockey League, however; he spent his entire career in the minor leagues.Drafted from the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings, Van Oene debuted with Buffalo's American Hockey League affiliate, the Rochester Americans, in the 1998–1999 season.
