David Augustus "Hoss" Amadio (April 23, 1939 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia – April 10, 1981) was a professional ice hockey player who played 125 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the Los Angeles Kings and Detroit Red Wings.Amadio played eight seasons for the Springfield Indians of the American Hockey League, and holds the AHL record for most goals by a defenseman in a game with five, scored against goaltender Gerry Cheevers of the Rochester Americans on February 8, 1964.
