Earl Pomerantz (born February 4, 1945 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is best known for his work as a television script writer. Pomerantz created the network television series Family Man and Best of the West, and wrote scripts for such shows as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show, Taxi, Cheers, Newhart, The Cosby Show, Major Dad and many other series.
