Edward Seidel (born 1957) is director of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, a Founder Professor in the Department of Physics, and a professor in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He began these positions in January 2014.From September 2012 until January 2014, he was the senior vice president for research and innovation at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.
