Edward Cornelius Reed, Jr. (July 8, 1924 – June 1, 2013) was a United States federal judge in the District of Nevada.Born in Mason, Nevada, Judge Reed attended public school in Reno. Reed served in the 86th Infantry Division of theUnited States Army during World War II, from 1943 to 1946 and was deployed in Europe, achieving the rank of staff sergeant. He was captured by German soldiers and imprisoned during the final year of the war.
