Ernest "Ernie" Matthews (8 November 1912 – unknown) was an English professional footballer who played as a forward in the Football League for Bury and Sheffield Wednesday.After joining from Kibblesworth Welfare, Matthews was the leading goalscorer for Bury for his two seasons with the club, and the third highest goalscorer in the Football League.
